Welcome to the official NC Sports Report Discord community — a space created for athletes, students, coaches, fans, and supporters of North Carolina sports at every level.

This server exists to celebrate, discuss, and elevate high school, college, and professional athletics in our state. To keep this a safe, constructive, and serious environment, all members are required to follow these rules strictly.

1. Respect is Mandatory – No Exceptions

This is a zero-tolerance environment for disrespect of any kind.

  • Do not harass, threaten, insult, or bait other users.

  • Absolutely no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or discrimination of any form.

  • Do not slander or make personal attacks toward athletes, teams, schools, staff, or members.

  • Respect differing opinions without becoming argumentative, inflammatory, or abusive.

2. No Inappropriate Content

This is a community that includes students, athletes, and their families.

  • Do not post, share, or reference sexually explicit content, graphic violence, or illegal activity.

  • Swearing must be minimal, context-appropriate, and never directed at a person.

  • Memes, jokes, or comments that cross the line into vulgarity will be removed.

3. Stay On Topic and Use the Correct Channels

We have organized channels for a reason.

  • All content should go in the designated channels (e.g., football discussion in #football-chat, recruiting in #recruiting-tracker).

  • Off-topic conversation, spam, and derailing discussions will be removed.

  • If you're unsure where to post something, ask a moderator.

4. No Bullying or Negative Commentary on Student-Athletes

This rule will be enforced with zero tolerance.

  • You may discuss performance and games, but do not insult, mock, speculate about, or attack student-athletes in any way.

  • Coaches, families, and athletes are often members of this community.

  • If you wouldn’t say it face-to-face to an athlete or parent, don’t post it here.

5. No Advertising or Self-Promotion Without Permission

This is not a promotional server.

  • Do not post links to other servers, YouTube channels, websites, social media, or products unless you have prior written permission from an admin.

  • This includes media outlets, NIL promotions, or personal brands.

  • Exceptions may be granted for verified community contributors and collaborators.

6. No Leaks, Doxxing, or Unauthorized Information

Protect privacy — yours and others’.

  • Do not post addresses, phone numbers, private DMs, internal team info, or anything that violates personal or institutional privacy.

  • Doxxing (releasing private information without consent) is grounds for an immediate and permanent ban.

  • Unconfirmed rumors are not news. Do not spread them.

7. Keep Politics and Religion Out of the Server

This community is about sports — not personal ideology.

  • Political, religious, or cultural debates are not permitted.

  • Content that stirs controversy or creates division will be removed, and repeat behavior will lead to a ban.

8. Follow Media Posting Guidelines

We welcome highlights and sports content — with boundaries.

  • Do not post full copyrighted games, paywalled material, or other content that violates copyright law.

  • Credit original content creators when sharing clips or images.

  • Original graphics, videos, and news from members should include proper watermarking if credit is expected.

9. Follow Moderator and Admin Directions

Respect those managing this space.

  • Moderators and admins are empowered to interpret and enforce the rules.

  • If you are warned, follow the instruction without debate in public channels.

  • Appeals can be made privately through DMs, respectfully.

10. Minimum Age Requirement

All members must be at least 13 years old to comply with Discord’s Terms of Service.

  • Members under 18 are expected to conduct themselves maturely.

  • Any user found violating this rule will be removed from the server.

Enforcement and Consequences

Moderators will issue warnings for minor offenses. However, serious or repeated violations may result in:

  • Temporary or permanent mutes

  • Kicks or server bans

  • Blacklisting from NC Sports Report events and affiliated platforms

Screenshots and logs may be retained for documentation of rule-breaking behavior.

Final Statement

This community exists to build up — not tear down. Whether you're a fan, athlete, parent, coach, or reporter, you are part of something bigger than just a chat server. You're part of a growing statewide sports culture built on respect, energy, and integrity.

If you can’t follow these rules, this is not the place for you.
